Wonderful news. Our RocknRollPharmacy Roving Reporter has been back in the saddle to give us news this week, of how the Glastonbury Festival site is shaping up. The framework of The Pyramid remains in place all year. They are currently using a giant roller to flatten the area behind, then the Pyramid outer skin will be put on and the stage platform built inside as we get nearer to the festival. Tons of hardcore have been used to prepare the roads, the 9 mile long perimeter fence is more than half completed, and the enormous task of painting thousands of litter bins is underway. The site for the Medicine man Pharmacy is still a green field.

The pharmacy teams are being organised and will include non-pharmacy staff for setting up the pharmacy before & taking it down again at the end. Family member, John has been helping set up and take down the pharmacies at Glastonbury Festival since 2007 and will be heading onto site several days before the rest of us arrive.

Ticket administration seems well organised this year. Tickets are all sold and booking for parking, and even for off-site accommodation continues. Some punters have started to receive their tickets by registered post this week. I cant wait! Today I purchased a new airbed, and I’ve looked out my tent. The next important job is to put the tent up and make sure nothing is missing. Remind me to tell you sometime about the year I went to put up my tent at Glastonbury and discovered all my tent poles were missing!

So. Who is the RocknRollPharmacy Roving Reporter? Well. Some people say it might be The Stig . . . . .
