The Singing Hospital Pharmacist

By Kevin Frost

I avoid TV talent shows in general.  I don't like manufactured music, regardless of whether I'm being encouraged to pay to vote for my preferred contender on their way to being the next Christmas number one.  So I missed yesterday's Last Choir Standing, but I'm reliably informed there was the rare treat of a demonstration of the day job of not only a pharmacist but a hospital pharmacist as well.

Pharmacy needs more exposure, gladly recognised by the terribly-titled Rx Factor contest currently taking place.  The recognition on prime-time that pharmacists do roles beyond community pharmacy is a great bonus.

So I'm glad to hear that Wyn Davies is doing well, and apparently knows his way well around warfarin counselling.  Let's have more examples in the media of pharmacist's abilities beyond the day job.
