Two weeks ago, I started an informal back-of-an-envelope survey of this blog readership. Thank you to the two who e-mailed in, and also the three that made me aware they were perusing this section by other means.
The Powers That Be have decided that these blogs need more promotion, so I'm expecting more readers in future days - which is nice. So hello to everyone who's followed the link on the front of the website or who's read the second most popular section of the PJ.
This blog was intended to highlight curious and interesting things that I pick or or hear other pharmacists come across in day-to-day pharmacy practice; but it's already occasionally strayed into other aspects of pharmacy life.
One thing that should be in everyone's spotlight is the Transitional Committee (or TransComm), which is deciding whether our future professional body will be a rolls royce organisation no-one can afford, a moped organisation no-one sees any point in joining or a body that's respected, joined by a sufficient proportion of pharmacists to make it credible and value for money. There's an interesting blog post on their website by a young pharmacist and three pre-reg's on a three key roles that the future professional body needs to develop; well worth a look in advance of further communication from the TransComm.
