Indemnity Insurance from The Royal Pharmaceutical Society

There does seem to be a gap for insurance of pharmacists working in areas other than hospital and community.  For example. as an academic I could get sued by a student if something goes wrong.  I would be covered by the university but that would be a situation similar to community pharmacists working in NPA covered pharmacies. Industrial pharmacists might also find themselves in the same position.  Scientists and academics do have unions, but as long as we are also on the GPhC register our needs and the implications of any accusations or legal challenges are going to be different.
