Pharmacovigilance

What involvement do you believe community pharmacists should have in reporting adverse drug reactions(ADR)?  Should the information be sent to the company which holds the marketing authorisation, to the MHRA or to both?

What would stop you from reporting an ADR?

Reporting ADR's

All Pharmacists have an important role in rpeorting ADR's. They may be the first professional to spot the problem. Surely the best way to report them is via the yellow card system? With yellow cards in the BNF and on-line reporting now possible ,community pharmacists have the same access as every other health professional to make a report

I agree with your comments,

I agree with your comments, I was interested in how many community pharmacists supply the information and if they contact the manufacter?
