Now, why do so few people contribute to this site? There are multitudes of specialised websites that are bursting with rancour, wit and information but apart from the occasional firestorm...Elizabeth Lee, Retired pharmacists wanting to masquerade as the "real thing" (yes I'm being povocative......anything for a good tussle!) this site, arguably the best of the lot to preen and pout in public, is a ghost town!
Why?

Pharmacy is like the high maintainance wife who takes and takes, in the end you throw money at her to make sure she bugs you as little as possible while you miserablly try to fill the void with floozies.
I guess why so few people contribute is because most of them are busy trying to squeeze some decent drops of a normal livable life out of the precious time that is available to them. I personally feel that only the idle have the time to comment and wail about issues. As a busy pharmacist manager, when I say things once (at the most three times) i expect things to be done or at least action taken.
I tell the society I am stressed, I will make mistakes,I am not getting breaks, I work too long a day, I have targets and if I dont reach them im out of a job, I need support,.... im still waiting..... and the measures they are taking are throwing the problem right back at me.... Its classic management avoidance of a problem technique (refer to Dilbert) . Times have changed community pharmacy is quick, straightforward and to the point responses should be likewise but they are not. I suspect therefore the masses think, '' Why should I bother with pharmacy when it does not bother with me?''

I agree with Tony, how many pharmacists are registered in the UK? I wonder how many even know about this forum in the 1st place, then I wonder how many of those know how to log in!!
Pharmacists have never been a united bunch, this just proves that point!
