Plymouth Hospitals NHS Trust

Prime Hospital Pharmacy Opportunities To Enhance Your Career

Plymouth Hospitals NHS Trust is a tertiary centre providing a full range of clinical services to a catchment population of 480,000. There is an ambitious programme of development, including the opening of a new planned care/outpatient centre, children’s hospital facilities and redevelopment of the main hospital; these follow on from the recent provision of new cardio-thoracic and critical care units. This university hospital has integral teaching links to the innovative Peninsula Medical School on site. Plymouth has many major heritage sites and is situated on the edge of Dartmoor National Park with quick and easy access to all the coastal and countryside delights of Devon and Cornwall so is ideal for people who enjoy the outdoor life. The city itself is being redeveloped and boasts a vibrant shopping centre and nightlife, while maintaining good road, rail, sea and air links to the continent and other major British cities.

The pharmacy department provides comprehensive services to the wide range of secondary and tertiary care (renal, neurosciences, cardiothoracic) clinical directorates in 1000 inpatient beds. Investment in a new IT system and automation is currently nearing completion. A newly refurbished, licensed technical services unit supports the clinical and operational services. We are looking for the following:
