The Surrey, West Sussex and Hampshire Cancer Netwrok, covering a poulation of 1.2m and hosted by Surrey PCT is comprised of four cancer units, a cancer centre and eight specialist palliative care units. Three Primary Care Trusts commission services.

Macmillan Cancer Network Pharmacist
Band 8C £53,551 - £65,662 p.a. pro rata inc.
22.5 hours per week


The Network is looking to recruit an experienced Pharmacist based in Leatherhead or Guilford. This role will involve travelling between all trusts, PCTs and other providers within the network, as well as to other local Cancer Networks.

The main areas of responsibility include working in partnership with key stakeholders to ensure the development and delivery of a high quality cancer pharmacy service across the network, in line with national requirements. Key stakeholders include multi-disciplinary teams, network tumor groups, trust cancer managers, GP cancer leads, Chief Pharmacists and pharmacy staff (in primary and secondary care). You will develop network wide approaches for oncology pharmacy input to commissioning arrangements and for service planning. You will work with the Network Management team to assist in the development and delivery of network objectives, facilitate a co-ordinated and consistent approach to the provision and management of the pharmaceutical component of cancer trials throughout the network and provide specialist advice to commissioners including horizon scanning.

You should be an experienced oncology pharmacist with MPharm or equivalent experience and an MSc or Diploma in Clinical Pharmacy.
