Nottinghamshire County Teaching PCT serves a population of approximately 650,000 within the county of Nottinghamshire excluding Nottingham City. The primary care provider services include 102 practices (including 15 dispensing practices and two prisons) 120 community pharmacies and 283 non-medical prescribers.

We require an enthusiastic individual to work with the prescribing team to lead the implementation of the PCT prescribing and medicines management strategy at practice based commissioning, practice and individual patient level.This includes implementing practice-based prescribing projects, answering prescribing queries and providing training, with the aim to promote safe, effective, high quality and cost-effective prescribing. You should have relevant post-registration experience
of pharmacy practice, excellent therapeutic knowledge (you will have a clinical post-graduate qualification or equivalent experience), first class oral and written communication skills, and good IT skills.
Hours: 1 WTE permanent Pharmacist, 1WTE maternity cover, plus bank staff. Permanent/fixed-term – 1 year to cover maternity leave/bank.
