Principal Pharmacist in Public Health
Band 8b £43,221 - £53,432 pa, pro rata if part-time
37.5 hours per week/or part-time considered.
Permanent contract
Will be based at one of the regional offices in North Wales, South Wales
or Mid and West Wales. (Preswylfa, Cardiff, Mamhilad or Carmarthen)
The National Public Health Service (NPHS) for Wales is seeking a highly motivated, confident pharmacist with relevant experience to join the Pharmaceutical Public Health workforce.
Reporting to a Consultant in Pharmaceutical Public Health (PPH) you will contribute to the delivery of a nationally commissioned work programme. This will require multi-disciplinary working with partners and stakeholders to improve health outcomes, reduce patient/public harm and address health inequalities in Wales.
You will work across all four public health domains (health improvement, health protection, health and social care quality and health intelligence).
You will have extensive pharmacy experience, post qualification together with excellent communication and analytical skills. Career development opportunities will include support to study for a Masters in Public Health and registration with the UK Public Health Register.
You must be qualified to work as a pharmacist in the UK and be registered with the Royal Pharmaceutical Society of Great Britain.
