The role of the Professional Services Team is to help members develop and deliver their professional service offering, by improving their access to and use of NPA services, facilitating their engagement with local health and social care communities and providing practical support and advice as appropriate.
The Professional Services Managers (England) will work predominantly at local level, and be responsible for supporting the development of sustainable pharmaceutical services within their designated areas, working directly with NPA members, but also in partnership with local pharmaceutical committees (LPCs) and other interested groups.
Much of the Professional Services Managers’ time and focus will be spent with members, communicating with members, or otherwise acting directly on their behalf. They will need to develop and maintain a considerable bank of knowledge about pharmacy practice and NHS policy in order to be able to provide advice to members.
The ideal candidates will have excellent knowledge of the health care sector in England, including community pharmacy, with knowledge and understanding of the delivery of enhanced community pharmacy services. They will be educated to degree level or equivalent, preferably MRPharmS with good IT skills and the ability to work to specified deadlines.
