Bringing excellence to life

We are looking for pharmacists who have completed or
are near to completion of general level training, to take
the first steps in advanced practice through our
specialist rotational programmes. Your practice and
development will be supported by our team of
technicians and senior pharmacists, many of whom are
closely involved in developing the Joint Programmes
Board Advanced Practice Programme. We are aiming to
be early implementers of this exciting development. We
have opportunities in the following specialist rotations.

Technical/Clinical Services Rotation Ref: 259-4476
Our technical services are delivered over two sites –
Parenteral Nutrition, CIVAS, and batch manufacturing
from state-of-the-art facilities at the Royal London site
and Chemotherapy from the St. Bartholomews site.
You will rotate through Chemotherapy Unit and the
Manufacturing Unit which includes TPN, CIVAS, batch
manufacturing and non-sterile production. You will
contribute to the multi-disciplinary nutrition rounds and
associated clinical services, specifically oncology,
paediatrics and gastro-enterology, and will be involved
in clinical trials and project development as well as
taking responsibility for the supervision and training of
junior staff and developing managerial skills.

Clinical Pharmacy Rotations Ref: 259-4645
You will rotate every nine months through our established
clinical teams lead by experienced practitioners, based
across the trust sites. We have two clinical rotations:
The acute care rotation comprises neurosciences, critical
care, paediatrics, cardiothoracics, acute medicine and a
split antibiotics/surgery rotation. The long-term
conditions rotation comprises cerebrovascular disease,
HIV, renal, mental health, and split cardiology/respiratory
and oncology/medicines safety roles. You will be trained
to deliver non-ward clinical services relevant to each
rotation, such as ambulatory care clinics, consultant
ward rounds and the supervision and training of junior
staff and an introduction to directorate support
functions and management and leadership roles.
