Like your correspondent Norman Fitt (PJ, 21 January 2012, p67), I discovered that the Royal Pharmaceutical Society’s website believes I am approximating to 140 years old since I, too, apparently last visited the site on the same date, 30 December 1899. This suggests that I must have been in practice for 100 years or so. There were many occasions in which it felt like it.
