Medical donations for Haiti appeal

Pain killers, antibiotics and bandages are in urgent demand to help the victims of the Haiti earthquake, according to International Health Partners that provides donated medicines to areas of most need around the world

London marathon 2010

Mary Boucher, prescribing advisor for NHS Wandsworth, is running in the London marathon and raising money for the Deafblind charity ‘Sense’. Donations via the Money giving website.

URGENT: Prejomin (Milupa)
A multiple sclerosis sufferer is desperately seeking 400g tins of Prejomin (Milupa). The patient is intolerant to all other foods, which cause near-fatal anaphylactic shock. All costs for Prejomin and postage will be reimbursed. Contact 01772 555352 (e-mail cg8421@blueyonder.co.uk).

Diabetes research (26 November 2009)

People who use insulin injections or pumps are invited to take part in a survey which aims to discover attitudes to diabetes and how sufferers handle their illness

HPV vaccine research (14 November 2009)

Community pharmacists are invited to give their views on the safety of the HPV vaccine in the prevention of cervical cancer by completing a short questionnaire that forms part of a Bath University undergraduate research project

Pharmacist prescribing (5 September 2009)

Pharmacist prescribers working in community and primary care in Great Britain are invited to take part in a study to investigate patients’ views and experiences of pharmacist prescribing.

Great Ormond Street Hospital
