Passionate About Pharmacy

First a confession: "I don't do football" so please forgive the inept footballing analogy...... but even I know that there's a huge difference between the first division and the premiere league. So it seems to me that pharmacy is on the cusp of moving from the "first division" to the "premiere league" of health professions. Now is our time - we must put aside our difference (which are, in reality small) and "seize the day". Passion will get us there! Graham Phillips, EPB member.

A passion for pharmacy

To some extent we need a bit of passion. It helps motivate us and gives us a reason for doing whatever it is that we do.

But the term means different things to different people. As I have eluded to in my latest blog(http://www.pjonline.com/blog_entry/do_you_have_a_p...) passion is too powerful a word to describe what I feel about pharmacy. I like a lot of things too much to say that I'm passionate about pharmacy.

I enjoy pharmacy though, it gets me up in the morning and motivates me to study. Is that not enough?

Definitely Passionate

I didn't want to post the same really long narative twice so here's the link to my discussion on 'passion': http://www.pjonline.com/blog_entry/do_you_have_a_p...

Passion for pharmacy - keep going

Pharmacy is a bit like golf - the "highs" can be really satisfying and the "lows" really frustrating. Nonetheless, we keep driving ourselves to keep going in the hope that one day we play to our strengths i.e. our handicap !

Passion

I am not passionate about pharmacy the way it is; I am passionate about where it should be and what we should all be doing to get it there.
