Student Associations

British Pharmaceutical Students’ Association

Founded in 1942, the British Pharmaceutical Students' Association (BPSA) is the only national body that represents pharmacy students and preregistration trainees. We aim to promote the interests and welfare of pharmacy students and are the official student organisation of the Royal Pharmaceutical Society of Great Britain.

European Pharmaceutical Students’ Association

The European Pharmaceutical Students' Association (EPSA) represents over 120,000 pharmacy students in 32 European countries. The objective of EPSA is "To develop the interests and opinions of European Pharmacy Students' and to encourage contact and co-operation between them.

International Pharmaceutical Students’ Federation

The International Pharmaceutical Students’ Federation (IPSF) was founded in 1949 by eight pharmacy student associations in London. The Federation now represents approximately 350,000 pharmacy students and recent graduates in 70 countries worldwide. IPSF is the leading international advocacy organisation for pharmacy students promoting improved public health through provision of information, education, networking, and a range of publications and professional activities.

Charities and grants

Pharmacist Support

Pharmacist Support is the leading independent welfare charity for pharmacists and their families, preregistration trainees and pharmacy students. The charity's support services include a stress helpline, addiction support, financial assistance, information and signposting, debt, benefits and employment advice.

Teva UK Limited cash bursaries

Each year, Teva UK Limited offers a limited number of student bursaries for students wanting to gain a degree-level qualification in pharmacy or a similar subject. The scheme is intended to help students who would otherwise suffer hardship. This might mean financial hardship or the need for help with caring for a relative. The scheme is open to any home UK student either already attending or who has been offered a place on any full-time UK-based undergraduate course approved by a school of pharmacy or similar.
